“169” is impressed into the molded surface of the outside bottom.
Comments
The small round bowl has straight sides that cant outward. The inside and outside of the bowl is decorated with a dark, mottled brown glaze that contrasts with the yellow body of the clay.
The number on the outside bottom is probably a pattern number of some sort used by the manufacturer. Two other bowls of different sizes in the collection have similar numbers: accession nos. 2020.38 and 2020.44.
