Comments
The large molded bowl has straight sides that taper or slant outward. The bowl stands on the corner edges of six sightly swelled sections, rather than a shaped foot ring or more recognizable device. Application of the dark brown glaze resulted in the bowl being predominantly dark brown with relatively little of the mottled buff or yellow earthenware color showing. Also, this bowl exhibits some irregularities in the surface, looking like folds, but glaze covers them, indicating that they occurred in the making. Similarly, the rough inside edge of rim is covered with glaze.
