Comments

This attractive basket is made of narrow splints woven around rounded ribs, all attached to a wide and substantial hoop.  A second hoop set at right angles forms a handle as well as supports the bottom of the basket.  The basket was likely used for gathering eggs and other small foods.

The Willcox name on the basket has not been identified.
