Comments

This pair of small andirons, intended for a more intimate fireplace, perhaps on a second floor, has a conventional column shaft above a square pedestal.  The front legs end in disc feet, a less expensive alternative to more shapely feet.  The finials, in the form of an acorn or lemon, represent the latest feature, thus the earliest time of fabrication.
