Comments
The candlestand is formed by a long pole mounted into an X base made of two shaped pieced of wood lapped in the center. Two iron nails, clinched on the bottom, hold the two base pieces in place. The pole is squared with chamfered edges. The uppermost end of the pole is threaded for a crosspiece with cubed ends drilled to support candles. The crosspiece has cylindrical turnings executed in the English fashion.
The stand has no known early counterparts and appears to be a later fabrication.
