Condition Notes

The jar has a Y-shaped stress crack and a brown stain on one side.

The Jar was purchased from Ethelwyn Janvier Maloney of Townsend, Delaware.

Comments

This well-executed ovoid jar or crock has lug handles, a wide bead near the neck, another wide bead at the base, and a cobalt-blue foliate band around the shoulder.  The blue decoration extends over and under the handles.  The inside of the jar has a brown glaze.
