By Invitation: Historic Odessa Celebrates 10 Years!
The Historic Odessa Foundation has cause for celebration this year. 2015 marks the anniversary of the foundation’s incorporation in 2005, and signals a new chapter in a legacy of historic preservation that began more than a century ago with two of Odessa’s most prosperous families – the Corbits and the Wilsons.
It was through the efforts of Delaware philanthropist H. Rodney Sharp, who in 1938 set about purchasing properties in Odessa and preserving and restoring them that today makes it possible for the foundation to bring to life for thousands of visitors each year the bustling hub of colonial activity and commerce, once the lifeblood of Odessa’s historic center.
In appreciation of your membership, you are cordially invited to join H. Donnan Sharp, and the Historic Odessa Foundation Board of Directors, Advisory Committee and staff for a cocktail reception in honor of the *Tenth Anniversary of the Foundation on Thursday June 4 on the grounds of the Corbit-Sharp House.
