Comments
The well-executed oval platter features a Chinese landscape with six buildings on islands amid water. A single figure holding an umbrella crosses a bridge in the foreground, and another poles a small boat. The deep well of the platter has a diapered band interrupted by three panels. A floral band encircles the inside of the rim—a more interesting treatment than the usual geometric bands. The outside of the platter rim is undecorated. The outside bottom is unglazed.
