One side of the crock has several staple repairs. The glaze on the inside is flaking off in areas.

Comments
This large, ovoid-shaped crock has a thick rim that flares outward slightly at the top. Applied lug handles at opposite sides are short and project outward more than usual. The handles were pressed inward at the time of making, throwing the crock out of round. A score ring circles the crock at handle height. Black glaze is applied to the inside and along the outside of the rim.
A similar, slightly smaller crock owned in Odessa is accession no. 2017.46.
