2016 Storybook Trees Exhibit
Interpreting works of classic literature for the holidays has been a tradition at the Historic Odessa Foundation for more than a quarter of a century. This year, you are invited to tour the National Historic Register Wilson-Warner House as it is transformed into vignettes inspired by E.T.A. Hoffman’s classic book, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”. 2016 celebrates the book’s 200th anniversary reacquainting us with its beloved characters and fantastic scenes.
In addition, the Corbit-Sharp House will house this year’s Storybook Trees exhibit by showcasing decorated trees in its beautiful period rooms. Because you have participated in our celebration of children’s literature in the past, we invite you again to join us and design and decorate a tree with the theme from your favorite children’s book. We have enclosed a Historic Odessa Foundation Storybook Trees registration form for your convenience. Feel free to make copies and pass along to a friend, neighbor, family member or colleague who may want to participate.
