The Historic Odessa Foundation is pleased to announce A Tapestry of Relationships: Collecting Delaware Art, a temporary loan exhibition that includes contemporary Delaware art from the collection of N. Taylor Collins, opening on Tuesday, May 22, and continuing through August 19, 2018.
The collection was built over three decades and features acclaimed Delaware artists such as Jack Lewis, Nancy Sawin, Laura Hickman, and Phillip Wikoff. The collector, an artist herself, formed lasting relationships with other Delaware artists as she painted with them, and took art classes from and with them. Collins is a partner in the Parke Green Galleries located on the site of the original Golden Fleece Tavern in Dover.
The exhibition will be arranged in artist groups and displayed in the National Historic Register Bank Building or HOF Visitor’s Center. A few select items from the Historic Odessa Foundation’s permanent art collection will enhance the exhibition.
