Artist Reception

See the rediscovered regionalist paintings by the locally recognized artist Louise Margarite Haas Jamison (1915-1980).

Her distinctive style of painting will be on display at the Historic Odessa Foundation’s Visitor Center.  This event is held in conjunction with the art exhibition, A WONDERFUL LIFE:  Regionalist Paintings by Louise Margarite Haas Jamison (Tuesday, August 29 – Sunday, October 29, 2023).  Members of the Jamison and Haas families along with several collectors of her artworks will be on hand to take questions concerning her life and approach to creating mid-20th century paintings of Delaware scenes and historic sites.  Mingle with other HOF members and invited guests during the reception while enjoying light refreshments.
