Art Exhibition: Quilted Textiles of the Helping Hands Quilt Guild

A wonderful selection of historically inspired quilted textiles created by members of the Helping Hands Quilt Guild are on display in the period rooms of the National Historic Landmark Corbit-Sharp House and the National Historic Register Wilson-Warner House.  

Be delighted in the historic rooms that are covered with beautifully stitched bed quilts, colorful table runners, and intricate throws.  This exhibit is held in conjunction with the exhibit The Ongoing Journey of Contemporary Quilt Artist Sarah J. Pavlik at the HOF Visitor Center.  Both of these exhibits are included with HOF admission.

The goals of The Helping Hands Quilt Guild are to preserve, promote, and further the art of quilting and the appreciation of quilts and quilting including, but not limited to, hand and machine quilting, through educational meetings, lectures, quilt classes, travel to quilt related events and locations, and any other activities which may accomplish this purpose.

The HHQG is a place for all quilters and crafters to gather in the same place in the hopes of promoting goodwill towards each other.  All types of quilts, crafts, and ideas are welcomed in meetings.  The group is based in Dover, Delaware and serves Kent County and surrounding areas.  The HHQG is an open group for all to visit and enjoy.  Visit their website for more information.
