The Milford, Delaware artist Richard Clifton will be on hand to take questions concerning his background, inspirations, and techniques in creating wonderful wildlife, waterfowl, and wetland habitat paintings. Reconnect with fellow HOF members and mingle with invited guests and the public during this reception, all while admiring an outstanding collection of amazing paintings and prints. Guides will be stationed throughout the house to answer questions and guests may enjoy a glass of lemonade at the conclusion in the beautiful grounds and gardens of the Historic Odessa Foundation. Tours from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Exhibit: THE WONDERS OF WILDLIFE: Paintings & Prints by Richard CliftonTuesday, August 31, 2021 to Sunday, October 31, 2021The Historic Odessa Foundation is honored to present the photo-realistic wildlife paintings and prints of the nationally acclaimed Milford, Delaware artist Richard Clifton. The art exhibition features a collection of acrylic paintings and prints including his 2020 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest winner depicting a single Lesser Scaup drake which will adorn the 2021-2022 stamp. The contest is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious wildlife art event. Since 1934, Suck Stamp sales have raised more than $1.1 billion to protect over 6 million acres of wetlands habitat on national wildlife refuges around the United States. Clifton has also been venerated as Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year three times while his art often graces the covers of their magazine.
