Volunteers Visit Hammond Harwood House, the "Jewel of Annapolis"
As part of our 2013 Guide Training Program HOF Docents are invited to join us for a visit to the spectacular Hammond Harwood House in Annapolis, Maryland. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1774 for the 25 year old tobacco planter, Matthias Hammond, and was the last building project of renowned colonial architect William Buckland. In addition to beautiful architecture, it is also home to a wonderful collection of John Shaw furniture and Charles Wilson Peale paintings.
After our tour we will lunch together in historic "Naptown" with free time to wander the streets and explore the fabulous shops in this "sailing capital of the world" before heading home.
Be sure to sign up early...this is a volunteer field trip not to be missed!!
