With the advent of the Industrial Revolution the character of toys began to change from the homemade to the more sophisticated. This occurred in conjunction with the ability of manufacturers to produce and distribute them in large quantities and while toys were always produced in America many toy stores were stocked with European toys…in fact…Nuremburg, Germany became a world center for toy manufacturing.
