Lecture: 250 Years of Freemasonry - Union Lodge #5 A.F. & A.M.Attend an engaging presentation commemorating the history and the sestercentennial of Middletown’s Union Lodge #5 which has its origins at Odessa, formerly known as Cantwell’s Bridge. The presentation will include events related to the Pennsylvania years, the Grand Lodge of Delaware years, and many other fascinating accounts related to the fraternity. The presenter, Brother Gary L. Laing, who hails from Union Lodge #7 in Dover, wrote the history of Union Lodge #5 for its June 2015 celebration. Laing is a Past Master and past Master of Research of Union Lodge #7. His interests include the American Civil War and preserving history through documentation. This presentation is being held in conjunction with the loan exhibition of distinctive artifacts and documents from the local Union Lodge on public display in the National Historic Register Wilson-Warner House.
