Introducing the new HOF e-Newsletter!Beginning this month foundation members will receive the HOF e-Newsletter the first of every month! Look for interesting articles about museum projects, new acquisitions, and exciting upcoming programs, and be sure to mark your calendar to attend the wide variety of exhibition openings, lectures, workshops, and special events offered FREE to members throughout the year. HOF will continue to send email reminders the week of a scheduled program but some have limited space available so be sure to make your reservations early! Back issues of the HOF e-Newsletter will be able to be accessed anytime by going to our web site www.historicodessa.org where members may also view the full yearly calendar of programs and events. Volunteer of the Month: Ellen Walsh Ellen joined the Historic Odessa Foundation’s volunteer family in our very first year as a new organization. Just slightly overwhelmed… HOF staff were facing thousands of research documents, in a mountain of boxes, all needing to be catalogued and housed. The mission: to create a community library and resource center with a data base which could be easily accessed by students, scholars, and general public. What was needed was an army of librarians to accomplish the task! Providence sent us Ellen Walsh. |
