2013 Storybook Trees Registration Begins

Please join us in this festive display of over 30 trees decorated by local families, schools, and organizations showcasing books and works of children’s literature. Our Storybook trees exhibit is designed to promote reading and literacy,and is appropriate for all age groups Participants choose a book of their choice to use as a theme for decorations, trees and lights are provided by the Historic Odessa Foundation.

For Volunteers: From Tureens to Tea Cups: Up Close and Personal with the HOF Ceramics Collection

As part of our 2013 Guide Training Program HOF Docents are invited to take part in a small group workshop. We will be focusing on our ceramics collection with emphasis on objects that can be directly related to the Odessa properties and the families associated with them.

Holiday Candlelight Tour

You are invited to step back in time through the doors of the Historic Odessa Foundation and explore the Christmas traditions of yesteryear! Participants experience a special candlelight tour of our 2013 holiday exhibit and enjoy champagne and festive treats in front of a roaring fire at the Collins-Sharp House, c.1700.

2013 Holiday Candlelight Tour Hosted by the Curator

Get into the Christmas spirit by attending a special evening candlelight guided tour of the holiday exhibit A Madeline Christmas at the National Historic Landmark, Corbit Sharp House.  The tour will be led by the curator of the exhibit who will describe the inspirations behind each room vignette.
