Attic Treasure and Antique Furniture: What you need to know when purchasing for your collection!

Please join us for this informative workshop designed for the beginning collector. Well known “antiques picker” Jack Jacobs, who was mentored by the late George W. Thomas of Odessa, has scoured regional auctions and estate sales for last 25 years in search of extraordinary objects.
Jack will compare and contrast different styles and periods of furniture while pointing out problems and pitfalls to be aware of when making purchases for your personal collection. Betty Fiske, HOF Contract Conservator and retired Winterthur Paper Conservator, will also be on hand to discuss conservation and care of collections.
This workshop will be held in the Visitors Center, 2nd & Main Street.
